FastStone Capture has two main advantages: the way it can captures items out of the screen, full screen, rectangular, free shaped region, Windows objets, menus, web pages, etc. and the capability for sending the captures to a file, clipboard, attached to email, printer, MS Word document, MS Power Point presentation, uploaded to a web site in Internet with a built in FTP program, etc. all of them in many possible image formats.
Once the selected capture is made, the main capture window displays the capture and offers many possibilities and tools:
The captured image can be edited directly with Windows Paint for all the changes to make, or managed by the proper editor.
Draw on the image, rectangles, ellipses, watermarks, paint on it, add text to it, etc. as well as paint, color brushes, etc. or add an edge to the captured image.
Change the image parameters: brightness, contrast, RGB balance, change to grayscale, etc. on the whole image or on selected regions.
Resize and rotate the picture, change the canvas size, turn to negative, sepia, obscure (blur), count the number of colors, reduce the number of colors, etc.
The output picture can be saved as .png, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .pdf, .pcx, etc. formats, and directly be sent to a printer, a MS Word document, a MS PowerPoint presentation, email or uploaded to the web.
